FAMILY SESSION

Sometimes looking back into your past can be difficult. It's the realization of how much we've aged. Although aging can be a good thing, sometimes it can be a little disheartening to know we're not kids anymore.

Growing up in a small town, majority of the kids I graduated with actually started kindergarten with me. And as time goes by, we slowly lose track of school mates and old friends.

Luckily for my sister and Beth, they've remained friends since kindergarten to this present day. Ranae and Beth have their own lives and their own families, but always find time to catch up on the other ones life. I not only find that amazing but also touching.

I was stoked when Beth and her ENTIRE family asked me to shoot their family portraits in Wisconsin. It was great meeting all the little ones and catching up on everyone's life.

Here are a few portraits from their session.

**EDIT TO ADD - Yesterday I was having technical difficulties with my server that I use on my slideshows. But it's up and running now, so CLICK HERE if you'd like to view the slideshow.

Happy Tuesday!

A MONDAY RAMBLE

These past two weeks has been a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions for me. After returning home from my twenty-six day vacation with my friends and family, I just ended up loving my friends and family so much more. The most important people in my life are the people I love. But I always come home with some regret. It's usually not spending enough time with someone....like my grandmother. In my mind I keep telling myself to book another ticket home just for my grandmother. And maybe I just need to do so. I hate regret!

I know this is a bit somber for a post on my blog, but because it’s weighing heavy on my heart I just wanted to remind everyone to never take someone for granted or miss out on showing your appreciation for the people God has blessed you with. Sometimes a particular situation doesn't always go as planned, just be grateful for all the wonderful people in your lives that do love you and do cherish you as a person.

So to put a little excitement into this post, here's a sneak peak of my next coming blog post.

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!

ROBYN & FAMILY

I was stoked when Robyn contacted me about photographing her family while I was in Wisconsin. Not only was I excited to meet her little kiddos, but I was delighted to photograph her session in the exact same town I grew up in.

I had such a joy working with her and the little ones. They were beyond adorable and did such a great job at making me laugh.

Thank you Robyn & family!

Here are a few favorites from their session. And if you'd like to see more, CLICK HERE to view the slideshow.

Happy Monday Y'all!!

KIM'S MATERNITY SESSION

Just the words, "you're having a baby" are words that are filled with so much joy, happiness, nervousness and excitement. I was ecstatic to hear that Kim was having a baby after trying for nearly five whole years. And I was honored when she contacted me to photograph her during her pregnancy.

I am seriously so happy for Kim and I wish her nothing but amazingness with her soon bundle of joy. Having a child is like no other feeling in this world and I love to know other people experiencing the same joy I went through.

Here are a few of my favorites from her session. And if you'd like to see more, CLICK HERE to view her slide show.

DEAR BLOG READERS, PLEASE FORGIVE ME

Yes, I know! I am the worst blogger ever. I've selfishly neglected my blog for only reasons a vacationer would understand. I need a huge slap on the hand, and hopefully I will learn my lesson to never neglect my blog like this EVER again.

With all good reasons from visiting family, sleeping, talking with old friends, more sleeping, photographing sessions, visiting New Orleans for a week, lots more sleeping, visiting my Mississippi peeps and then back to Wisconsin to visit my family and friends.....I am officially so worn out that I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm exhausted.

As much as I love everyone I've spent time with and places we've been, all vacations must come to an end. Thank goodness, right!

I have tons to blog about and can not wait to share with my Internet peeps. So be patient, I will be with you momentarily. :)

And a post is always better with pictures. Here's me in New Orleans. We had so much fun!!

VACATIONING

I seriously feel as though I've been hit by a mach truck. Twice. These last six days I have done everything I can think of to feel better. Lots of tea, cough drops, thera flu and more tea. But nothing. I'm still miserable. And of course I have been on the go non-stop these last six days. I think now I'm just looking for a miracle. :)

Aside from my sickness, it's actually been so wonderful seeing all my friends and family while catching up on just life. I won't lie, I haven't been the best at taking many pictures.

Here are a few though thus far. Happy Wednesday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY JILLIANN SKYLER

Happy Birthday, my sweet Jilliann! Four years ago today, our lives have been changed forever. I am beyond blessed to have such an amazing, witty, beautiful and funny daughter in my life. She definitely makes me a better person which I am so grateful for.

I love watching her grow but sad seeing her grow so fast. If I could only stop the hands of time for my selfishness. :) I love her like none other and I need her like I need air.

I am such a proud mommy and I truly look forward to our journey of many more birthdays to come.
